Suresh Pragasam serves as Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Cypress Pharmaceutical Group. Prior to his appointment as CEO, he served for 3 years as Vice President and Regional General Manager of Juniper Biologics, overseeing its Southeast Asia pharmaceutical operations.
Prior to Juniper, Suresh has 30 years of pharmaceutical experiences across multiple functions, such as sales, marketing, commercial excellence, strategic and business development, and general management with multinational pharmaceutical companies such as GlaxosmithKline, UCB Pharmaceuticals, Sanofi and Mundipharma.
His last position before joining Juniper was as Regional General Manager for Mundipharma for Southeast Asia, Korea, Taiwan, and Hong Kong.
Suresh’s notable successes across Southeast Asia amongst others were maximising post-patent portfolios, new products introduction and launches into new and existing countries, development of Patient Access Programs, integration of newly acquired products, restructuring and turning around of non-profitable companies, Building and developing people and teams. Suresh was seconded to Brazil and Mexico during his tenure with Sanofi.
Suresh graduated with a Masters in Business Administration from Edith Cowan University, Australia. In addition, Suresh also completed General Management Programs in INSEAD Paris and INSEAD Singapore.
Haytham Ramzy serves as Vice President & General Manager, Middle-East & Africa for Juniper Biologics.
Haytham has over 16 years of pharmaceutical experience where he is most recently the Cluster Head in Egypt and Near East. Haytham is a strategic and results-oriented leader with a successful track record in the pharmaceutical industry, partnering CEOs and Boards, leading stakeholder and employee engagement.
As Vice President & General Manager, MEA, Haytham will provide strategic direction to the region’s operations including all sales, marketing, reporting and compliance plans. He will be responsible for establishing Juniper Biologics operations and building long-term partnerships with healthcare professionals, patient groups and government bodies.
He will be an important link between Juniper Biologics and channel partners in the MEA region, and will be accountable for all business development activities, with the aim of growing Juniper Biologics’ business portfolio.
Dr. Ashok Krishna Perumal is a Malaysian registered medical doctor. After completing his compulsory clinical practice, he built a distinguished career with leading multinational companies including MSD (Merck), B. Braun, Fresenius VAMED, Sanofi, and APACMed. Over the years, he has developed broad expertise across pharmaceuticals, medtech, AI and digital health, consulting, and service provider businesses. His core expertise includes medical/scientific affairs, market access, government affairs and public affairs.
Dr. Ashok has successfully led and supported strategies that bridge clinical innovation with regulatory, policy, and stakeholder engagement to ensure that patients gain timely access to innovative treatment modalities. He has also designed and delivered educational programs for healthcare professionals that empowers medical communities with evidence-based knowledge and practical tools to improve patient care.
Academically, he graduated from Crimea State Medical University in Ukraine. He also holds an MBA from Open University Malaysia, a Master's in Health Economics from the Barcelona School of Management in Spain, and a Master's in Public Health from Yale University in the United States. In addition, he holds a Southeast Asia Healthcare Leadership Certificate from Harvard Medical School.
Cai Ya serves as Regulatory Affairs Director at Cypress Pharmaceutica Group Pte Ltd, where she leads the regulatory function and drives the development and execution of regulatory strategies aligned with business objectives. She is responsible for advancing regulatory excellence to accelerate product approvals and market access, while ensuring compliance and strategic alignment across the company’s portfolio.
An accomplished regulatory professional with over 25 years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry, Cai Ya brings deep expertise across research and development and regulatory affairs. She has a proven track record of leading complex global and regional initiatives, including new product applications, technology enhancements, product lifecycle management, and in-licensing and out-licensing activities.
Prior to joining Juniper Biologics, she spent 12 years at GSK, where she built extensive regulatory expertise and helped drive regulatory excellence across APAC and other regions.
Cai Ya holds both a Bachelor’s and a Master’s degree in Pharmacy.
Shalene Chong serves as Supply Chain & Business Excellence Director for Cypress Pharmaceutical Group, where she leads global supply chain operations and distribution strategies. In addition to her current responsibilities, Shalene drives Commercial Excellence across Southeast Asia and assists the CEO in overseeing the Australian business through the appointed distributor.
Shalene brings more than 18 years of experience in supply chain management with multinational organisations such as Mundipharma, Janssen (the pharmaceutical companies of Johnson & Johnson), DHL Global Forwarding, and Honeywell, as well as with a local pharmaceutical company.
Prior to joining Juniper, she progressed from Head of Supply Chain to the role of Head of Corporate Development and Operations at a Malaysian pharmaceutical company, where she expanded her responsibilities beyond supply chain into broader organisational development and operations.
Shalene holds a Bachelor of Commerce from Deakin University, Australia, with a double major in Marketing and Accounting.
Vicky Tan serves as Head of Finance Business Partnering for Cypress Pharmaceutical Group, covering Australia, Southeast Asia and the Middle East & Africa.
Vicky has over 15 years of experience in finance and accounting, with extensive experience across the pharmaceutical, manufacturing and commercial sectors. She has held regional and global finance leadership roles, covering FP&A, financial reporting, controllership, budgeting and forecasting, financial modelling, business partnering and strategic financial planning.
As Head of Finance Business Partnering, Vicky partners closely with the CFO and CEO to support the company’s financial and strategic objectives. She is responsible for financial planning, forecasting, reporting and analysis, including developing financial models, conducting scenario and sensitivity analysis, monitoring key business performance indicators, and providing insights to support management decision-making.
Vicky also oversees accounting operations, including full-cycle accounting, revenue recognition, fixed assets, inventory, intercompany transactions, financial audits, compliance and cash flow planning. She works closely with sales, marketing, business development and S&OP teams to align financial strategies with operational objectives and support business growth.
Kishan Suchak serves as the Director of Portfolio & Business Development at Cypress Pharmaceutical Group Group, where he leads the company's global portfolio strategy, licensing, strategic partnerships, and expansion across Southeast Asia, the Middle East, and other high-growth markets. He is responsible for identifying differentiated product opportunities and building long-term collaborations that drive sustainable business growth.
With over 13 years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry, Kishan has held leadership roles at Adalvo Pharmaceuticals, Kashiv BioSciences, and Amneal Pharmaceuticals, delivering successful initiatives in value-added medicines, biosimilars, specialty products, and intellectual property strategy.
Kishan brings a rare multidisciplinary perspective by combining scientific expertise with intellectual property and business acumen. He holds an M.S. in Pharmaceutics, a Bachelor of Laws (LL.B.), qualifications in International Business Management, and executive business education from Harvard Business School. He is also a Registered Indian Patent and Trademark Agent.

Chan Cheng Sheng is a Malaysian human resource leader and business strategist with over 12 years of professional experience spanning shared services, financial institutions, global consultancy networks, tech firms, and fast-growing startups. Armed with a Master of Science in Business with Human Resource Management from Northumbria University (UK) and a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from HELP University, he has built a distinguished career driving regional people strategies and complex organizational transformation.
Over the years, he has developed deep expertise across talent acquisition, digital learning and development, performance management, compensation and benefits as well as change management. His core capability lies in aligning human resource frameworks with broader corporate goals to future-proof expanding businesses and has successfully steered HR transformations by integrating cutting-edge tech solutions while building resilient workforces.

Leena is a a seasoned pharmaceutical leader with over 20 years of experience spanning marketing, commercial strategy and product launches across Southeast Asia. She has successfully led multidisciplinary teams and managed diverse specialty care portfolios within global healthcare organizations like Menarini, Abbvie, Abbott Laboratories & Bristol Myers Squibb. She has also spearheaded numerous national healthcare initiatives, stakeholder partnerships, educational campaigns that have created meaningful impact for patients and healthcare systems.
Ahmed Enab serves as Business Manager – Middle East & Africa at Juniper Biologics, where he leads the company’s commercial strategy and business growth across the region.
Prior to joining Juniper Biologics, Ahmed spent more than 13 years in the pharmaceutical industry, holding commercial and marketing roles with multinational pharmaceutical companies including AstraZeneca, Mundipharma and Chiesi.
Throughout his career, Ahmed has gained extensive experience across oncology, respiratory, ophthalmology and pain management, with expertise in commercial strategy, brand development, market expansion, business development, commercial excellence, and strategic partnerships.
At Juniper Biologics, Ahmed has played a key role in developing and executing the MEA growth strategy, supporting product launches, expanding market presence, strengthening distributor partnerships and developing new business opportunities across diverse markets.
Ahmed holds a Master of Business Administration from ESLSCA Paris Business School.
